Sake shop Nabegoya 2025 “Snack Yokocho” was full every day🎉~A Rookie snack bar mama-san, Nana Vol.19~

It’s been a while, everyone!
Hello everyone!!

“Snack Yokocho” opened its first store at “Sakedokoro Nabegoya 2025” held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse! This was my first time planning and managing this event, and I have been preparing since last year. And finally, the big day arrived…! Although there were many shortcomings, thanks to the support of many people, we were able to successfully complete the first event of the new year✨

🎉 More customers than expected! Fully booked every day!

As a result, the expected number of visitors to Snack Yokocho exceeded 200%! It was almost fully booked every day, with a total visitor count of over 250,000 people. What was particularly impressive was the large number of repeat customers. Many customers came 2-3 times, and there were even regulars who looked like they were in a real snack bar! Scenes of people of a wide range of ages and nationalities enjoying themselves together could be seen everywhere, with the younger generation singing Showa-era songs and foreign visitors to Japan showing interest in Japanese snack culture.

💕 Thank you so much to all the moms out there!

The biggest reason for the success of Snack Yokocho is the support of the mamas who worked in front of their bars at the event ! This time, we had mamas who actually run snack bars participate, and we recreated the atmosphere of a real snack bar.

I think it was not easy to have them try a different style of customer service in the open environment of an event. Nevertheless, each mama captivated many customers with their natural charm and created an atmosphere that made them want to see them again. We, the staff, were also moved and learned a lot from watching them.

I’m taking notes on the wonderful things about moms 🗒✏️

Sayaka Mama : A master at livening up the atmosphere with her overwhelming presence and light-hearted conversation, creating a sense of unity in the venue!
Tomomi Mama : With her exquisite kindness and casualness, she created a relaxing atmosphere for everyone.
Yuko Mama : She was attentive to each and every customer, and performed professional-level harmonies at karaoke!
Urara Mama : A magician who uses her charming conversation skills to turn even first-time customers into fans!

“Snack bar mamas are amazing!” I learned a lot from each and every customer interaction.

I was also impressed by the breadth of their perspective, paying careful attention to even the smallest details! Thank you so much to all the moms out there!

🤝 Glad to have super wonderful friends

Many of my friends lent their support to this event. My friend of 10 years, Marco, is a talented person who works as a stage actor and also plans and manages events himself. This time, too, he fully demonstrated his rich talents and supported the event!

And the students from J. F. Oberlin University were also a great help. WHY those students? Since Igarashi gave a lecture on “tourism theory” at the university, the students were interested in the activities of “Snack Yokocho” and said, “I want to do something together!” The new perspective gave Snack Yokocho a fresh energy.

In addition, the guides who usually guide customers to the snack bar went behind the counter to support the hostess. I’m sure they were a little confused as it was their first experience, but they all showed their natural adaptability and hospitality to really liven up the event. I’m really grateful😭

We plan to deliver an even more powerful version next time!

The booth “Snack Yokocho” at this Nabegoya event was started with the aim of “bringing snack culture to more people.” Thanks to the mamas and many of our friends, we were able to fully convey the appeal of snacks.

We will welcome you with even more fun and improved content at the next event! Thank you for your continued support of Snack Yokocho!
