Hello! I’m Akari, the behind-the-scenes staff of “Snack Alley”!
The Clumsy Snack Bar Adventures of a Homebody is a story about me, someone who loves spending time at home, stepping into the unknown world of snack bars. It’s a journey of growth, full of blunders and mishaps! From a beginner’s perspective, I hope to share the charm and atmosphere of snack bars with those who’ve never visited one before✨

Now, the moment has come to open the door to a snack bar! Excited and a bit nervous, I was ready to step inside when suddenly, Mayuko Igarashi, a fellow snack bar enthusiast (Snajo®️), peeked through the door, only opening it 5 cm. She silently observed the inside for about a minute, and I couldn’t help but ask, “What are you doing?”
“I’m just checking out the atmosphere,” she said. “You can get a feel for the place, like how many seats there are at the counter and what vibe the mama has. It helps me feel more at ease.” That made sense, especially as a beginner—it’s natural to want to know what kind of customers are inside and what kind of mama is waiting for you.
Nervously, I also peeked inside through the crack in the door. It seemed like only the mama was inside at the moment. Now, the time had finally come to step in!
Next time, I’ll share the story of what happened the moment I took that first step into the snack bar.
Stay tuned for the next episode! (I’ll be aiming to post every Thursday!) To all of you who’ve never been to a snack bar, I’ll be doing my best, blunders and all, to bring you the real vibe of the experience!
