This time, what is “Snack Yokocho”, a company started by Igarashi, the original Sunajo®︎? For those who don’t know yet, let me explain!!

Is Snack Yokocho the name of the store? Where is it?

When you hear the name “Snack Yokocho”, I assume that you don’t no the entire meaning. It seems like the name of street with blanch of restaurant for Japanese but this “Snack Yokocho” is our company’s name.

Recently, there has been a lot of media exposure, and more and more people know about us, but when we say that we are working at Snack Yokocho, people still ask us, “Is that the name of the store? Where is it located?”

There are no physical stores yet, and we are mainly conducting various entertainment activities for the night economy in snack bars which is run by moms of yesteryear! ! Our tours introduce the snack bars to not only domestic customers but also tourists to Japan. Also, we organize snack bar events in collaboration with governments and companies. Then, “Snack yokocho” is actually known when we started a new service called online snacks.

You may have heard Online snack bars during the COVID.

The COVID has greatly changed our society… As you all know, many industries related to the night economy, such as the food and beverage industry, bar and snack bars, have been in a hard situation. Snack bars are a place for people to talk with mamas and masters, or to sing karaoke, but during the COVID, they are forced to close the store. I think there was a time when people were worried about the uncertain future and found it difficult to access positive information. Snack bar mama and master was one of them. Not only unable to make sales, but also they had been saddened by the fact that they had been deprived of the joy of talking with customers. “Online Snack bar” was launched on May 14, 2020 as a support measure for snack bar businesses across the country.

You can participate online from home or from a remote location, and you can choose your mama from a variety of information, including cheerful mama, good listeners, and masters with various backgrounds.You can enjoy conversation and events held online.

The COVID pandemic ends, but the demand for online snack bars will continue! ?

As the infection with the COVID begins to subside, daily life has returned to snack bars across the country. Mama Masters, who had been forced to close their store, became busy. As they became busier, online snack stores, which had nearly 100 member stores, decreased to less than 10 stores. While we feel relieved and happy that the store has regained its vitality, we also feel sad that the opportunities to connect mamas with customers who live far away are decreasing.

On the other hand, some mamas are continuing to operate online snacks even after normal business returned. Everyone has their own way of run the online snacks, but some mamas made customers feel as they are in a physical store through the online snack?! When online snack started, we had been meeting face to face one-on-one or in small groups online, but now we have placed the store’s screens next to the counter. There are also stores where you can talk to your mama or the customer like next to you.

It can also be used as a starting point for those who do not have a physical store and want to become a new snack bar mama.

While mamas who has physical stores continue to use online snacks in various ways, those who don’t have a store can also use it as a place to experience and practice being a mama! ! We have people who have experience as counselors and people who live overseas who don’t have a physical store but are working as mamas.

Yes! ! I made my debut as an online snack mama🎉! ! The store name isVitamin！ There are two origins: ①Vitamins are essential nutrients to relieve daily fatigue. I also want to make this a place where I can help customers relieve their fatigue in some way and support those who are working hard! ② Simply because I love vitamin colors 💛🧡.
