We are finally experiencing autumn-like days.

Lately, Snack Yokocho has been incredibly busy with a succession of events every month, which we are grateful for.
I actually joined the company in September (and was a part-timer before that), but for the past months, even though it’s not December, we’ve all been running around like it’s December. However, all the events have been fun!
The last event this month is the “Snack Bus Tour.” We’ll be preparing lots of things so that everyone who rides on the restaurant bus as a mama will be satisfied~💪（For more details Click here）

Snack bars are what heals my day (⋈◍＞◡＜◍). ✧♡So I’ll introduce you to the snacks I’ve been looking forward to on the weekends recently.

It was by chance discovery! The best way to find a good snack bar is walking around the town.

I’m completely hooked on Snack Sachi, but I discovered it by chance. It all started at the end of August when I organized to an event called Snack Bars x Chinese Obanzai at Chinese Cuisine Arata in Ningyocho . This event was sold out with only one seat left for each session, but I wanted to fill it up, so I was handing out flyers in Ningyocho the night before with my friend Sachiko, who were the hostess for the event night. We decided to wrap up and go for a drink, and while looking for a snack bar, we discovered Snack Sachi. The name of the hostess was the same as Sachi, and the yellow sign had a nice atmosphere, so we immediately decided that this was the place to go.

It’s located one block away from the main street. The yellow sign is easy to spot.

Hello Mama-san. Her T-shirt is very unique!

We went up the stairs to the second floor and slowly opened the door, but there was no one at the counter. Then, Ta-ko Mama popped out from the cupboard on the right, holding a wig and wearing a T-shirt with the word “Mama” written on it. “I’m Ichigen, is that okay?” she said, and we entered the store and were kindly shown to a seat. As instructed by the manager Igarashi, we checked the pricing, and were surprised at the clear and reasonable pricing of 3,000 yen for a set, with no time limit, and bottles starting from 5,000 yen!!
When we told her about the event the next day, she said we would practice if there was karaoke. And to our surprise, Mama was a former singer!! She had also had a voice trainer, so she gave us advice after we sang a song, and was really kind🥰 I was fascinated by the homely and easy-to-talk atmosphere of Ta-ko Mama of “Snack Sachi” , and the next day, she took care of us at the after-party of the event, and I became so addicted that I went there once a week♡

Mama T’s repertoire is extensive! 

Actually, it’s not just the Mama-san! The other staff are also fun!

The owner of “Snack Sachi” is Mama’s son Genki, and Mama is kind, but even more so, he’s a popular guy. Like Mama, he’s a great singer, and watching the two of them sing “A Whole New World” is so amazing that it’s worth paying to see! Many of the regulars are also good singers, so it’s a great place to either have a quiet drink or enjoy karaoke with friends 🎤
And every day, they have a rotating cast of cheerful and fun staff members, including Yudai-kun, Mika-chan, Kana-chan, Miyabi-chan, and more!
I often see Yudai-kun, but he’s popular with people of all ages and genders, and his supper-oriented vibe is a great weapon to have fun with every visit 🤣

What about training as a Mama-san?

From the first time we met, we talked about us and how I want to open a snack bar in the future, and Mama Ta-ko has been very supportive. At the bar, she also teaches us how to interact with regulars and how to serve customers. But gradually, going out drinking became the main activity!!

Sometimes I get scolded for drinking too much, but because I love Mama so much, I don’t give up and keep going♡
Everyone has welcome atmosphere, so there are a lot of fans. Also, there are fun staff members, including the owner Genki-san, so it’s easy to see why it’s so popular.

On my days off, I go to Kokoroya, run by Genki. We are good friends. Our wallpaper is Ta-ko Mama dressed as a courtesan.

“Snack Sachi” is a 5-minute walk from the A2 exit of Ningyocho Station. It is on the 2nd floor of a building with an eel restaurant on the 1st floor.
