What is “Hashigo de Snack”?

Following the success of the Snack Tour® held earlier this year during the Plum Blossom Festival, we’re thrilled to bring back this extraordinary experience in Daikumachi, Mito’s vibrant nightlife district, for the second year in a row. This event is designed to revitalize the area’s nighttime economy and offer visitors a one-of-a-kind cultural adventure.

Event Name: Hashigo de Snack in Daikumachi
Dates: December 2, 2024 – March 31, 2025 (Excludes Sundays)

1. Snack Tour® (Guided Tour)

Join a guide for a walking tour through Daikumachi, paired with visits to two authentic Japanese snack bars.

  • Time: 6:50 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Meeting Point: Mito Raku Yokocho entrance
  • Fee: ¥12,000 (Includes drinks and snacks at two locations)

2. Snack Hopping (Self-Guided)

Explore Daikumachi at your own pace! Choose two snack bars from a curated selection of 13 with your ticket and guidebook.

  • Fee: ¥8,000 (Includes drinks and snacks at two locations)
  • Booking: Advance reservations required via the official website
